Normally pastel shades look trashy
and pink and blue just don’t concur,
pastels are rather shy than flashy
but nevertheless they can blur.
The sky can show the contradiction
of all the colours that exist.
Nature can proudly with conviction
expose them all – you get the gist.
The painter caught the strangest lighting
of pastel shades on sea and sky,
and whereas colour clash seems biting
nature does common taste belie.
Who better can this fact assert
than the lone sailor who endures
all days on sea always alert
and about weather moods not sure.
