Fish and chips

Not the five-star super dish
are, of course, the chips with fish,
though with vinegar and dips
really tasty: fish and chips.

And enveloped in the black ink
makes the eater tickled pink,
because the paper’s news of toil
shimmer brightly in old oil.

And the time that you devote
to consume just floats your boat,
for you don’t have long to wait:
back for work fast, never late.
